Interpretation Panels

If you were to climb up the slope of Lowndes Park and turn around just before you reach the top it is possible to see all of Chesham laid out before your gaze.

It was this view that persuaded Chesham Connect to support the Town Council’s scheme to improve the signage within Lowndes Park because from there it is possible to see the development of Chesham from the 1700s to the present day.

The interpretation panel, one of three to be erected in the park, will explain how Chesham grew as a town relating the view from the park to a set of photographs from the collection of Peter Hawkes.

Chesham Connect hope that the new interpretive panels will give a new insight to people who have lived in Chesham for a long time, as well as those who moved here more recently.

Project Date: 2017
