Christmas in Chesham

The town’s Christmas lights are officially switched on by the Mayor at Christmas in Chesham on the last Friday in November. The party starts at 6pm when the High Street and Market Square are filled with a variety of charity and market stalls, plus fairground rides for the little ones. Father Christmas can be found in his sleigh near the clock tower and will happily pose for photos. Charity Christmas cards can be purchased at the United Reform Church in The Broadway and Broadway Baptist Church will be hosting its very popular Christmas Indoor Market.

There is a musical procession down the High Street to the stage, which is located near Sainbury’s. Once the lights are switched on, a variety of local musicians and performers take centre stage to delight the crowds throughout the evening.
