Morning 10.00am – 12.00 * Design – Mono Print
Learn how to make simple images with mono print on fabric and paper, and how to cut an eraser block for printing.
Please bring: Cartridge paper, white tissue paper, cotton fabric, a sheet of acetate or a smooth plastic surface to roll out block printing ink. Please bring at least 2 colours of acrylic paint, a hard roller, a plastic eraser, a craft knife or lino cutting tools if you have them, baby wipes for cleaning up, sketch book, paper scissors, pva glue and a brush, gloves and an apron.
Afternoon 1.00 – 4.00pm ** Stitch – Shadow Quilting
Learn how to work this delicate technique using transparent and sheer fabrics. It is traditionally used for fine household items such as table linen or to decorate blouses or lingerie, but is also useful for making pictures or greeting cards.
Please bring: a small piece of cotton organdy or organza, a similar size piece of lawn or fine cotton for backing, scraps of brightly coloured felt, a few coloured threads and usual sewing kit to include pins and tacking thread.
