Design and Stitch with Janet Edmonds

During the morning design session you will be creating designs, building an exciting image and colour combinations that will inspire stitched surfaces.

Please bring a pattern reference, a variety of coloured papers, a craft knife, elastoplast, a small pair of pointed paper scissors, a pencil for drawing and marking and a pritt stick.

For the afternoon stitch session you will experiment with a traditional technique, achieving an exciting affect by layering up cut-worked fabrics.

Please bring a piece of coloured, firmly woven fabric, threads to match the scale of the fabric, fine crochet cotton, soft cotton, an embroidery frame, a piece of brightly coloured fabric for layering and usual sewing kit to include a pair of sharp embroidery scissors.

All sessions include tea, coffee and biscuits.
