Do take a little time out of your busy lives and come and enjoy a cream tea with family and friends in the Temperance Hall in Chesham (also known as The Little Theatre by the Park). Homemade cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam – yum! While you are there, you can also snap up some great book bargains at the same time at our Book Sale and take part in our raffle.
We are raising money for Providence Row, an amazing charity that work with homeless people. They tackle the root causes of homelessness to help people get off, and stay off, the streets. Last year in 2017/18 more than 1,600 people used their services. Working with people to build skills and confidence is the key to success. They do this through our trainee schemes, language classes and employment support. The support they provide for mental health and addiction issues helps people to rejoin the community. They also help people to return to their home communities and families, in the UK and abroad.
Tickets for the cream tea are £5 per person or £15 per family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and available from firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to help with catering bookings should be made in advance.
Entry to the book sale is free.
Organised by the UCM at St Columba’s church.
